How to Apply for Graduate Scholarships

  • The Application for Graduate Scholarships 2009-10 is used to apply for all scholarships offered at Penn State Great Valley for Fall/Spring 2009-10. (Scholarships are not offered for summer.)
  • Students must be accepted to a master’s program or graduate certificate/certification program to be considered.
  • Scholarships will be considered at the end of September for the academic year. Awards will be issued as refunds if the tuition bill is already paid.
  • Return the completed 2009-2010 Application and a copy of your résumé to the PSGV Financial Aid Office. 
  • DEADLINE for Fall/Spring 2009-10 application and résumé: JULY 31, 2009

Warren V. Musser Graduate Fellowship Award in Entrepreneurial, Leadership and Problem solving Studies 2009-10

Academically outstanding new and continuing master’s students in Engineering and Management Divisions at the Penn State Great Valley campus are urged to apply.  This Fellowship focuses on students with entrepreneurial, leadership and problem-solving experience, studies and skills whose undergraduate junior/senior g.p.a. was 3.2 (in any field) and whose previous master’s or current master’s g.p.a. is at least 3.5.  Approximately $4000 will be awarded (divided between Fall 2009 and Spring 2010).  At least a total of four graduate courses must be completed during Fall/Spring 2009-10.

Students selected must write a thank-you note to the donor, maintain a minimum g.p.a. of 3.5 during the award period and write a short, 2-page paper following Spring 2010 indicating how the fellowship award has helped them.  A reception with the donor in spring is also a commitment.  

How to Apply for the Musser
Be sure you meet the g.p.a. criteria required.  Complete and return the Musser application form with your essay and a copy of your résumé.  Have the recommendation form completed by someone who knows you in a professional capacity and can speak to your leadership, entrepreneurial and problem solving abilities.
