Educator Act 48 Approved Workshops, Certificates, and Courses
Act 48 workshops and courses are offered through the Education Division and the Continuing Professional Education Department. Prior to enrolling, educators should confirm that a program fits their school district's professional development plan for Act 48. All workshops and courses are held at the Penn State Great Valley campus.

Advanced Placement Summer Institute
Offered through the Continuing Professional Education Department each summer, the Advanced Placement Summer Institute is designed for teachers and administrators seeking professional growth or Act 48 credit. This institute gives teachers of AP classes hands-on techniques in all aspects of AP instruction. Both credit and noncredit options are available.
Graduate Certificate Programs offered through the Education Division
These 3 and 4 course certificate programs are a headstart toward a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Systems, or Special Education.
