SARI (Scholarship and Research Integrity) Program
In order to satisfy the Scholarship and Research Integrity (SARI) requirement of the Penn State degree, all students admitted Fall 2009 or after are required to participate in five hours of discussion-based activities surrounding topics pertaining to the responsible conduct of research (RCR).
For NEW students admitted in the Spring 2012 semester or later, you may enroll in the SARI Module beginning in the Fall 2012 semester. Further details pertaining to the SARI enrollment process will be provided to you prior to the Fall 2012 semester.
IMPORTANT CHANGE for current students: Beginning in the Spring 2012 semester, we will be transitioning from the four SARI Module curriculum to a single Integrated SARI Module in which topics pertaining to Plagiarism, Conflict of Interest, Research Misconduct, and Collaboration will be discussed. The Integrated SARI Module discussions will take place asynchronously over a week-long period and the module will be offered four times per year. Successful completion of the discussion-based requirements in the single Integrated SARI Module will satisfy the SARI requirement for your Penn State degree.
For students who were planning to take both SARI modules III and IV this spring, you only need to register for one of the integrated modules below to satisfy this graduation requirement.
