Leadership Development Students Presenting at International Conference
Each year the American Educational Research Association (AERA) receives thousands of submissions for presenting at its annual conference. These presentations are typically submitted by faculty and doctorate students, but this year three Penn State Great Valley students, Lisa Slagel, Daniel Lunasin and Jared Auchey, from the School’s master of leadership development (MLD) program, had their empirical research study accepted.
Ben Ngan, Ph.D., Joins Engineering Division
Penn State Great Valley welcomes Ben C.K. Ngan, Ph.D., as an assistant professor of information science in the engineering division. Ngan has a doctorate in information technology from George Mason University, a master's in management information systems from California State University, and a bachelor's in electronic engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Previously, Ngan worked as a software engineer in the technology division at Syneren Technologies Corporation in Arlington, Va., and was an adjunct faculty member in the department of applied information technology at George Mason University.
New Cyber Security Certificate
The internet era has made most organizations’ information assets extremely vulnerable and targets for adversaries. Designing and deploying appropriate prevention and/or protection measures have become exceedingly sophisticated and require developing qualified cyber security professionals. To address this challenging environment, Penn State Great Valley now offers a cyber security graduate certificate. Beneficial to IT managers, architects, designers, developers, and quality assurance personnel.
