Letter from the Alumni Society Board Chair

Dear Fellow Alums,
We’re in the midst of another fall semester, and the campus is once again buzzing with activity.  If you haven't been back to campus recently, there are a number of great reasons to stop by and visit. Whether it's a lecture or a movie presentation, continuing professional education courses, the new Farmers Market (every Thursday through November 12 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.), or our upcoming football tailgate party and scholarship fundraiser, there's something happening for everyone.  While at a campus event, you just might run into someone from the Penn State Great Valley Alumni Society board.
The Alumni Society is charged with providing advice and volunteer leadership to the campus, while working to connect Penn State Great Valley alumni and current students to both the University and one another.  Previous Alumni Society events included campus information sessions, networking gatherings, and campus job fairs.
One of our big events this year is the upcoming Tailgate Fest on November 21 when the Penn State Nittany Lions take on the Michigan State Spartans.  Join us for food, fun, and games, while we watch the Lions on a thirty-foot screen in our campus auditorium.   The Alumni Society is working to establish a scholarship for Penn State Great Valley students in need of financial aid.  The proceeds will fund financial support for future alums.  To register or for more information, click here.  Also, if you are interested in participating on the Alumni Society board, please contact Laura Doughty at We welcome additional alumni support.
If you haven't been back to campus recently, there's no time like the present.  I look forward to seeing and meeting all of you at an upcoming event.
