Penn State Great Valley Alumni Society hosts Family Tailgate Fest

The Penn State Great Valley Alumni Society will host the Penn State Family Tailgate Fest for campus alums and the general public on Saturday, October 20, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. During the event, which will be held in the Musser Auditorium of the Conference Center on campus, guests will enjoy food, games, activities, a live viewing of the Penn State/Indiana football game on a 30-foot screen if game time permits, a visit from the Nittany Lion, and much more.

There will be plenty of Penn State related prizes distributed through giveaways, raffles and a silent auction, including Penn State football tickets, and a color lithograph of the 1986 Fiesta Bowl signed by several players from the national championship team, which will be auctioned off during the festivities. There will be a host of activities for children, including carnival games with prizes, face-painting and hair-coloring, and cheerleader and Tae-Kwon-Do clinics. Cost is $15 for ages 13 and up; $5 for children ages 4-12; and free for children under 4.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Penn State Great Valley Alumni Achievement Scholarship Fund. Pre-registration is not necessary, but those who register by October 1 will receive a coupon for free Creamery ice cream. Payment will be accepted in advance or at the door. Penn State Great Valley is located at 30 E. Swedesford Road, Malvern.
