Consortium for Sustainable Business
Development at Penn State Great Valley

Penn State Great Valley has launched the Consortium for Sustainable Business Development (CSBD), which will foster excellence in sustainability education and provide a forum for business, academic, and civic collaboration to examine and research sustainability issues. Sustainability as a guiding philosophy, coupled with socially responsible business practices, are critical facets of 21st century world-class organizations. In response to feedback from corporate, government, and non-governmental organization stakeholders, CSBD has a number of new initiatives underway including:

  • Creation of a Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Management Practices
  • Sustainability Management Concentration in the MBA program
  • Redesign of New Ventures and Entrepreneurship MBA option to include an emphasis in Sustainability
 
Mission
The CSBD encourages sustainable business practices as the region’s hub for organizations seeking to learn and improve in all areas of sustainability and social responsibility. Penn State Great Valley’s graduate program offerings, faculty research, and organizational partnerships position the CSBD as a leading catalyst for the growth and proliferation of sustainable business practices.
