The Scrum Process
Scrum has emerged as the most successful agile development process for organizations, developers, and executives. Scrum's growing popularity can be attributed to its ability to boost ROI for businesses and bring developers and executives together to align business goals. The Scrum framework helps teams to become extremely productive. It engages developers to produce the major pieces of an application in a fraction of the time consumed by traditional methods and makes defects immediately visible to the team. Scrum improves efficiency and helps organizations get things done.
Participants should come prepared with basic knowledge of Scrum and the Agile framework. We recommend that, prior to attending this course, participants read the “Agile Manifesto and Principles" as well as one of the following books:
- Agile Software Development with Scrum, by Ken Schwaber and Mike Beedle
- Agile Project Management with Scrum, by Ken Schwaber
- Origins of Scrum and Understanding Scrum
- Basic Scrum Engine, Agile Manifesto
- Sprints, Sprint Planning Meeting, Sprint Review and Retrospective
- Scrum Values, Phases, Simulation
- Burndown Charts and Project Reporting
- Day in the Life of a ScrumMaster
